Journalism & Technology Academy

Day 3

It's been said that a picture is worth a thousand words.  Today, Journalism & Technology students received a hands-on photography lesson from Carlos Ocegueda, a certified professional photographer. Mr. Ocegueda covered important photography elements such as lighting, shadowing, composition, highlights, exposure and appiture.  He also covered the differences between portrait photos and photo journalism.  The students were given an oppotunity to demonstrate the techniques they learned by using three of Mr. Ocegueda's professional cameras.








 



Today's session also featured a presenation by Terry Boykins,  executive of business affairs for 4Positive Knowledge, a privately-held enterprise he created to promote positive outreach campaigns with select community-based organizations to address child/parent relations.
